MARKETING YOUR DRIVE

Ford uses new marketing schemes to try to advertise their new European Fiesta. Coutney and Earl Vallery both had the luxury of recieving a brand new Ford Fiesta in hopes that they might tell a friend who just might tell a freind that this car is the hottest thing out. Well this is what Ford was hoping they gave it to a newly wed young married couple from South Austin, Texas to help market this new product. This four door small suv is an eco friendly car with a four cylinder engine and gets an estimated of 41 mpg. This european sweet heart was built in Germany and has a few quirks stated Mr. Vallery. Its narrow seats are not built for Americans and are more of a european feature. The radio and air condition can be controlled by speaking but the catch is the car's voice is a woman with an English accent. I mean I personally feel like if its free it me, but how productive is this marketing scheme I would have to ask? Have they generated customers by giving this couple this free car? Or did they just lose out on some cash. I feel this was a very risky marketing scheme in order for it to have been productive Ford might have to give it out to more than just one couple and then again that makes the care lose exclusivity who wants to buy a car that they know there friend just got for free. So Congrats to The Vallery's on thier new car but i perosnally feel this marketing scheme will not generate custumers.

YOU JUST MIGHT HAVE TO PAY FOR HULU

What is the world coming to when you just might have to pay to watch tv on the internet? I for one think its crazy imagine having an internet tv bill every month wouldnt that be insane. Well the internet site Hulu has stated that some where down the line you might just have to pay a subscription fee in oder to watch movies or shows on Hulu.CEO Jeff Zucker stated he was looking for new ways to venture out his business, aka make more money. I mean you cant blame the man for trying to get paid but come on does it has to be at my expense. Hulu for all that dont know is a free site where you can watch movies shows and much more for free, they might thow in a commercial here or there but its totally worth it. The commericals arent has long as regular commercials on tv and it way more convient for people who have lives and cant be at home to catch their favorite shows every week. I mean it draws the issue of will internet tv some how someday be regulated and would we have to pay for it?

Soon, bloggers Must Give Full Disclosure

Bad News fellow bloggers the Federal Trade Commissions rules towards advertisers and reviewers and endorsers are going to have to change. The F.T.C said they would be putting on new regulations on bloggers who review products and are giving these products good reviews because they are getting paid to do so. The F.T.C is trying to regulate this by saying you have to let your readers know that your being paid by advertisers to say this. For bloggers that do this is means some of that disposable income might just be gone.Would people actually read your blog if they knew it was biased because you were getting paid to write that. I mean I know I wouldnt i would rather want to read somethinf that someone wrote about a product they have used and had a real experience with rather than a person who was getting paid to say it was great.http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/06/business/media/06adco.html

MADE FOR TV HOAX

The Heene family is definitley a prime example of using a stunt to try to gain publicity. If you didnt know the Heene family story aka the "baloon boy" story is about this family who bulid a flying air balloon and allegedy said there son Falcon Heene took off in it. Okay as odd as this story is lets take a look at the facts. The family has been on the television series Wife swap twice so lets just say that makes them a reality show family, there son is 6 years old and they have two other boys around the same age. When the boy was missing Richard Heene is father called up the hews first before the police. hmmmmmmm that seems a bit fishy why would you call up a news station before you call officials? Well it turns out the boy never was on the baloon and was hiding some where in the basement. When interviewed by the new station Falcon age 6 stated that he was told by his parents that he was doing this for a show. WOW they definitley got caught. Okay but who should pay for this huge scandal should id be the Media? Or should it be Mr. And Mrs. Heene. It was said that the Media might have known about the hoax and wanted in on the story. Just as Kanye at the awards I feel like this was a publicity stunt to gain more exposure for the family and I feel like someone should pay but I dont think the media should be one of them at the end of they day there doing what they are paid to do keep news coming.
